Congratulations!!! You are pregnant! You are now in your first trimester on your journey to having your own bundle of joy! Your first trimester of being pregnant is the first twelve weeks of your pregnancy journey. This is the most exciting AND scary at the same time. It’s also the most crucial of all trimesters. Your baby is developing more and more day after day. So paying attention to what your doctor says may put restrictions on things you may be used to doing, but can no longer do.
By the final week twelve, the baby is now officially called a fetus, and will be completely formed by the end of this month, it is beginning to move its hands and legs, and opening and closing its mouth, but it is still too tiny for you to feel the movement. As a normal woman, there are always tons of fears. What If I miscarry? What if I lift something too heavy? Should I call the doctor at 3 a.m., because I had a slight pain? The best thing you can do in your first trimester is to RELAX!
Most women miscarry before six weeks, after six to eight weeks your doctor can hear a clear heartbeat and your chances of miscarrying drops down to a mere five percent. So sit back, and make sure you are as stress free as you can be, oh, and RELAX!!! It may not seem like stress could hurt your baby, but it can have very serious effects on the baby’s development, and during birth. So make sure you voice your concern to your loved ones that right now you need them to help you continue a safe and healthy pregnancy.
