Time and space
Happiness needs space. Feelings need space. If our daily life is one big to do list and we are rushing from A to B then we need to think of C to Z, there’s no room for luck. Happiness should always be in the here and now so it’s important to slow down. Even on a hectic day, a woman can take a break or a 10-minute time-out to take a deep breath, look around and see the flowers. Perceiving the world positively will improve your lifestyle considerably.
For pregnancy this is particularly important. Pregnancy takes time. It’s a physical thing and the body and the mind both need rest. Firstly get some sleep, but it’s equally important to just sit down and do nothing, to be calm and simply be pregnant without schedules and pressure. It’s not easy in today’s fast way of life, but it’s essential for a positive pregnancy.
Love is a wonderful ingredient. You simply can’t get enough of this for happiness, whether making love, loving someone or loving yourself. The women who work with me know the power of love, and how fulfilling it is. It’s a wonderful feeling and an incredibly positive force. For a pregnant woman love helps with the baby, it’s something that nourishes you both.
Lastly take care of your own needs and those of the baby. Listen to their thoughts and wishes. Enjoy the preciousness of the moment. With effort we can all feel more intensely and give life more colour. Taking care of ourselves brings us into the here and now and helps to nourish both us and the baby.
